TheeDigital is proud to have been a member of the Google Partner program since 2013.
What is a Google Partner
The Google Partners program is Google’s stamp of approval for digital marketing agencies and advertising professionals. Google lists their partners on their site and recommends them as a trusted businesses.
Once they’ve become a member of the Partners program, the agencies get advanced notice of Google AdWords product updates. They also get invited to special events and trainings via Google Hangout, which Google generously sends goodies for.
Perks of a Google Partnership
Google holds monthly training events for Partners that they send us a variety of office and coffee related items for. We’ve received two Google Partners banners for our office. They’ve sent us a Google branded Jenga game. And we got to “take off” with a Google cardboard airplane.
This month during Google Partners training, we learned more about how YouTube video ads can be less expensive and more targeted than traditional television ads. In February, we reviewed AdWords extensions and gained knowledge such as that ads with an extension gets 30% more traffic than those without one. At our Google Partners Connect event last October, we discussed how small businesses can expand their online presence.
How to be a Google Partner
To qualify as a Google Partner, we had to meet several requirements. These requirements ensure that agencies like ours that apply for Partner status are knowledgeable and keep up to date with industry best practices. They include managing a minimum amount of AdWords accounts each month, following industry best practices, and having staff members who are Google certified.
