TheeDigital is excited to announce their first “Passing of the Torch” Pledge in honor of the Olympic Games.
Starting Friday July 27th TheeDigital is pledging to donate $1 to the U.S. Paralympic Committee for every new fan who likes the TheeDigital’s Facebook page as well as the U.S. Paralympics Facebook page.
The Paralympics is an international multi-sport event, similar to the Olympics, where physically disabled athletes compete. This includes those who suffer from blindness, cerebral palsy, and other mobility and physical disabilities. The 2012 Paralympic games will run immediately after the Olympic Games in London.
We wanted to make the most of the Olympic spirit to support a good cause. The passing of the torch is a significant part of the Olympic Games, so we thought we would try and pass the awareness and the emotions that are tied to the Olympics on to the Paralympics as well.
Richard, Owner and President of TheeDigital
TheeDigital’s “Passing of the Torch” Pledge will run from the start of the Olympic Games on July 27th until September 9th when the Paralympic Games end. TheeDigital will donate $1 for every new Like to their Facebook page up to $500 and participants are asked to also Like the U.S. Paralympics page.
Most people aren’t even aware that the Paralympics takes place in the same city and right after the highly publicized regular Olympic Games. We are hoping that this opportunity raises more awareness, not just for the Paralympics but for the disabled community as a whole.
