TheeTeam Takes on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

TheeDigital was recently challenged by one of our own to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Our team assembled yesterday afternoon to take on the challenge and support the ALS Association.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has flooded the United States, with people all over the country participating, including celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Martha Stewart, and President Obama. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge entails participants dousing themselves with a bucket of ice-cold water, and then challenging three people to do the same or donate $100 to the ALS Association within the next 24 hours.

Our team took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge yesterday afternoon after being called out by one of our own team members. We accepted the challenge and gathered everyone to participate.

We decided to challenge Atlantic BT, Coalmarch, and Capstrat to take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. They have the next 24 hours to either participate or donate $100 to the ALS Association. We can’t wait to see if they’re up for it!

In addition to participating in the challenge, TheeDigital is also making a donation to the ALS Association.

What is ALS?

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease affects the brain’s ability to initiate and control muscle movement, causing patients with later stages of ALS to become totally paralyzed.

There is no cure for ALS, although there is one FDA approved drug that slows the progression of the disease, helping people maintain as much independence as possible and prolong survival.
