Sutton’s Shoes has been selling shoes for nearly seven decades in North Carolina. This family-run business understood the need to have comfortable shoes for industries that require employees to wear safety shoes.
In the early 2000s, Sutton’s Shoes grew with the times and took their business online with a modest website. Today Sutton’s Shoes has an extensive Ecommerce site that not only carries and sells their entire line of shoes, easily displaying different variations for both men and women’s safety shoes. WooCommerce makes it easy for their customers to see options available, compare different shoes, and shop for different sizes and colors.
Before the redesign, Sutton’s Shoes had an outdated site (seen to the left). They needed an updated website not only set them apart from their competitors, but was easy to shop, compare and buy the industries’ best shoes.
Their existing website was difficult to navigate for both new and existing customers. In addition, there wasn’t a way to easily see and compare the various features available in each of their shoes.
WordPress is the industry-standard platform when it comes to most any type of website, whether it’s an Ecommerce site or not. Once built, the site is easy to maintain and edit… even if someone doesn’t have any prior experience or knowledge of HTML.
Since it’s a WooCommerce site, from the customer’s point of view, the new site makes it super easy to search inventory, compare products, seek advice from the expert staff at Sutton’s Shoes… and purchase the exact shoes and accessories… without having to leave their house.
From the staff at Sutton’s Shoes’ perspective, the new site is super easy to maintain and fulfill orders, and as a bonus, inventory and accounting is a breeze as well.
Coupon codes, special offers, information, sale items and more are easy to set up and enable, keeping customers engaged and making it easy to become a returning customer.
With a majority of Sutton’s Shoes traffic coming from mobile sites, we knew the new website had to be more than just a responsive site that adapts to various browser types and widths.
It has to offer a truly mobile-friendly experience, ensuring it loads quickly, it’s easy to fill out contact forms, and offers an intuitive layout. Having a truly mobile friendly experience also improves Google search engine rankings, so the website is now more visible to potential customers.
The team at TheeDigital not only understands this philosophy but we believe in a “mobile first” approach to our web design. We ensure that the user experience is perfect from not only mobile, but on all devices, including desktop.
We wanted to improve conversions by making the navigation on the new Sutton’s Shoes website site intuitive for prospective safety shoe customers.
With so many options to display, we wanted it to be easy to search, view and purchase the perfect shoe for that person’s individual needs. The search feature allows product selection to be narrowed based on a number of variables to make the buying process very simple.
The example shown here demonstrates how easy it is to find the perfect shoe.
