Creative PEGWorks is a biotechnology company located in the Research Triangle Park of North Carolina with a core business to innovate, manufacture and supply advanced functional polymer products.

The PEGWorks team approached TheeDigital to not only design a custom website that would attract new customers and rank well in search engine results, but also needed help organizing thousands of highly technical products to make them easier to find and purchase by their scientific audience.

The original Creative PEGWorks site was outdated, difficult to navigate, and poorly optimized for SEO. The site was also not responsive, meaning it was only easily viewable on desktop devices and restricting a very large portion of their targeted audience.

Before the redesign, Creative PEGWorks had an outdated site (seen to the left). They needed an updated website that reflected their highly technical products, services, and their scientific audience.

The team at TheeDigital dove in by brainstorming a way to better organize the thousands of products that were available on the website, and understanding how to converting the PHP-coded products to a more modern WordPress and WooCommerce platform.

Our team of developers and designers also needed to re-organize their site structure, including customer information, product details, and product purchase history.

WordPress is used by over 40% of the top 10 million websites, and our team optimized the new Creative PEGWorks site to make it easy for prospective customers to find when searching for polyethylene glycol, polysaccharide, and polyamino acid derivatives and reagents for research at universities, federal laboratories, biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Since it’s built on the WordPress platform, it’s super easy to edit the website, and being a WooCommerce site it’s even easier to add new products, manage inventory and fulfill orders by the staff at Creative PEGWorks, without have any previous computer programming experience or knowledge of HTML.

All sites nowadays have a large share of tablet and mobile device traffic. Creative PEGWorks was no different. We developed the site to be truly responsive, for all shapes and sizes of browsers and devices. Each page of the new Creative PEGWorks website was uniquely designed and built using a “mobile-first” approach, guaranteeing that every page performs exactly as designed on all devices.

All forms, buttons links and navigation was developed to easily navigate using just the tap or swipe of a thumb, making conversions a breeze. The site is also optimized to ensure that it loads quickly and offers an intuitive layout. Reorganized Product Categories and Organization
